try to oliie over small sticks or something to start with,it helped me learn ollies better, i found it helped me focus on the foreward movement better
work your way up to coke bottles etc,
small stuff you aint going to hang up on and slam every time u miss it
i think first lesson should be how to not be afraid to fall =.=
sometimes i got so worried bout falling that i stopped learning to push and tic tac =.=lll
