How to Film Skateboarding (HD)
I made this for my Comm Tech class about a month ago. The project was “Teach the class something your good at in photography or film” and people did some useless videos like “How to take a picture with a digital camera” or “How to make a movie in movie maker”. This topic was kinda a joke between me and a friend but I somehow ended up actually doing it ahah. I think its pretty useful though, especially these days where kids knowing nothing about filming are getting vx1, mk1 setups and using them like crap. Hopefully if you never filmed skateboarding or just want to improve abit, this video will help you. Also send this to you friends who have cameras and havent seen this video yet. My films range from Skate vids to gangster Tarantino style films, I need a camera around 300 that will work for all these things.
they do it to mark footage, cause alot of people used to record to tapes.

300?! is that all your willing to spend? Maybe a Panasonic gs120 but for making movie thats not gonna be anywhere near good enough.
Its not about being willing its all I have to spend.
oh no hate from me man. I was just saying. My cam only cost $200 and it works great for skate vids. However I would look at the Panasonic gs120 its decnt priced and great quality.
I was looking at the HV30 that he mentioned but it would take me six months of saving to afford.
dude this vid realy helped my filming. i’m trying to film skateboarding for a living… that is if u can get paid to film skateboarding. but hell i’ll film skateboarding for free cos i love filming just as much as skateboarding.

Really cool vid, i was looking for tips on how to film. I’m a skateboarder myself but i just got a new camera in my family and i decided to learn the basics on how to film and improve my skills.
I wonder, a lotta people here has the VX1000 even though it looks like it doesn’t have really good quality to me..so why does ppl use than one for skate videos?
Another thing, i have Sony HDR-CX11. Is this good to film? Could you suggest a fisheye that doesn’t cost too much? Thanks for the time.
