How can I do skateboard tricks such as kickflip, ollie, and other basics?

I just interested myself in this whole skateboarding thing, and was wondering if somebody out there knew the fastest easiest way to learn and perform skateboard tricks. And, this question is also asked because my friend is skeptical of my ability and I wish to, in as long as it takes, to prove him wrong. He has been skating for a few years, but I believe with the help of yahoo Answers I will and can be vistorious!
alrighty now lol here we go….first of all check out bob’s trick tips .com (yes it’s a real site) and look at their tricks…..second make sure you have a board that fits you…okay a ollie is simple but takes a while to learn for a begineer….first make sure your feet are set up right, your back foot should be on the tail of the board ( i like to use the ball of my foot only…but you get less pop sometimes), and your front foot should be around 1-2 inches behind the bolts….but feel free to adjust! then slide your front foot up to the front of the board, keeping your weight over the center of the board NOTE: when sliding your foot be sure to turn it on it’s side…causing a smooth drag…then begin to prepare for the landing by bending your knees and absorbing the shock….this is a very brief description of a ollie….but for more detailed instructions email me or go to bobstricktips.com
